I'm considering an new Android based phone. I currently have an iPhone 5. My question is simple. Is it possible to send audio and charge over USB with my car radio? There are conflicting reports and answers all over the web.

Currently, I'm able to simply plug my iPhone into my vehicle's USB port. It is automatically recognized, charges immediately, sends album artwork to my car display, and works with my steering wheel controls.

From what I understand, this is not a feature that is universally functional on Android devices due to its less than stellar support of MTP. If so, what devices currently function as above?

A few points I will make clear: using BT audio is not an acceptable solution, nor is using an AUX cable/separate phone charger. It needs to function with one cable seamlessly.
