It's not recognized by Windows 7 either, at least, not on my computer. I hear the system sound for plugging in a device and again when I remove it. But, when it's plugged in and it's turned on, screen open, in my windows directory... it's not there. My computer won't show it, doesn't see it, even though the system knows something was plugged in. A Windows system "search new devices" doesn't see it either, it's not discoverable.
