Verizon note 2 to metro pcs help

Hello all just joined hope everyone is well. OK so I've read look up vids heard that my note is already unlocked and have tried to connect but can't i can get a t mobile sim to work but not mine. So I've taken my connected sim switched the network to gsm copied my apn settings from my current 4G phone reset and can't get anything to work and i really don't want to pay someone if i don't have to. Does anyone know or have any step by step details on how to accomplish this? Ty all in advance. I also took pics of my setting and all but couldn't find a way to post them.
