Video player problem Galaxy Tab 3

[AC Question]

Hi, I recorded a video on my Samsung Galaxy S3 mini phone and sent it via email to my father in law to view on his Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. He downloaded the video but when he tries to play it he can only hear the sound, no video plays. Any ideas why this might be and how we might fix it? We need the simplest possible solution as I will have to talk it through to him over the phone and he is not very confident with technology. Thanks for any advice!

Welcome to Android Central! I don't have a direct answer, but have you considered uploading the video to Google+, Google Drive, or YouTube, and sharing the link with him?
