earphones does not work..samsung galaxy s4

The ear phones which came along with my samsung galaxy s4 does not function to full. I can hear music and watch videos but i cannot answer calls nor i can change volume with the buttons available on the ear phone - please advice if im doing any thing wrong or the android version sucks..!! Im sure the head phones are not damaged and no onther s4 ear phones works on my phone

Welcome to Android Central! Maybe the headphone jack is faulty. Did this just happen? You may have to bring the phone to a repair shop, or contact Samsung if you're still under warranty.
