Note II Problem

I have a Samsung Note II. I had Google Play Services but inadvertently uninstalled it (not sure what happened but it's gone). So I went out to re-install it and all I get is an error message that the device has insufficient space. I get the same message when I try to download any app in play store. I have 258 MB internal memory available and 31G on the SD Card. I've tried deleting Cache, did a soft reset and everything support told me to try to no avail. Anybody have any ideas?
