Hi, I'm trying to hook my tablet up to an external audio interface while powering both devices. I can do the first bit via an OTG cable, but the second bit is eluding me. I have tried various powered USB hubs and they don't support this. Also tried a Y-Cable hookup and the external audio interface dies when the power is connected.
I have researched thisd and apparently there is something in the tablet which prevents simultaneous charging and data exchange? This seems strange as this works fine when the tablet is hooked up to a PC or laptop via a single cable.
Any suggestions?
