Why HTC one sv android system stops unexpectedly?

I am having the problem with my set, htc one sv. It unexpectedly closes its apps. But now it does not read its sim, it even keeps popping a message called " com.android.phone has stopped working, would you like to send an error report?" This message is now continuously popping on the screen and even though the phone is switch on, i can do nothing on it as the message pops on second by second. i did factory reset but it was all in vain. Please help!! what should i do?

Welcome to Android Central! The phone might be starting to fail. Try booting into Safe Mode, which disables all 3rd party apps--if the problem persists, then there's a problem with the system. On most phones, you can get into Safe Mode by pressing and holding Power until you get the Power options, then press and hold "Power Off" on the screen until a Safe Mode prompt comes up. Tap Ok.

If Safe Mode doesn't help, then remove any SD card you might have inserted, since a corrupt card can cause issues.

Last resort is a factory data reset.
