need help galaxy s5 active

idk what i did. but my lock button no longer locks the screen if i hold it it still brings up power options but i cant get the screen to go off at all. ive factory reset it best i can is there anything i can do to like redownload android and reinstall it? it was rooted and its like super ****ed up now i wanna throw it and go buy an iphone agian

Welcome to Android Central! What did you do after rooting the phone? Did you delete anything? Did you install a custom ROM?

You root at your own peril--if the phone starts malfunctioning after you root and modify the phone, it's not really Samsung's fault.
