Hey all,

I'm new around here so I apologise if this same scenario has come up before. But I've read through countless forum and none of them have provided anything that has worked for me...

Anyway, I'd deleted some photos accidentally a few days back and I was desperate to get them back, so I downloaded disk digger only to be told my phone had to be rooted. So after watching a youtube video, I downloaded Odin3 and CF autoroot...tar.md5 and I ran it under PDA just like the dude in the video said. However, after everything, my phone didn't restart the way his did. Instead, this screen with the android and the words "Downloading... Do not turn of target !!" appears. I've
  • Pulled the battery
  • Pulled the plug
  • Pressed home+power+volume up buttons together
  • removed my sd card even
  • removed battery for prolonged periods of time
and NOTHING works. Every time I switch it back on again it goes straight to this horrid downloading... page. It's been two days now, and I'm desperate. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me!!!

Thank you ever so much!

Sorry for the delayed reply. I would go to either Sammobile or Samsung updates, and download the stock ROM file. You can flash it the same way as you would have the rooting file. That should get you rebooted.

Omg thanks very much for answering!!! I forgot to add: I have actually tried to run Odin3 eight times on my phone with the PDA CF Autoroot file... Would downloading and flashing the stock rom file help it even after multiple flashing of the CF Autoroot file?

That should bring you back up and running. I don't know if the pictures will be recoverable, but right now, I am guessing you need a functioning phone over recoverable pictures. :)
