fully charged using correct cord and display won't activate. The back, home, apps lit up along with the green power light on top after a soft reboot but won't display.

Did the device come into contact with water or did it fall to cause internal damage?

If possible, try a battery replacement and see if that fixes the problem. Otherwise, there might be something else internally with the hardware that needs to be fixed or replaced.
