My Galaxy S4 CDMA has a Sim Card?!

[AC Question]

I recently bought a US Cellular S4 off of a friend in hopes that I could use it on straight talk, however, Straight Talk keeps telling me that my phone won't work because it's CDMA.

I researched the difference between CDMA and GSM and everything tells me that if the phone has a Sim Card, then it is GSM. Well, my phone does have a Sim Card, therefore, Straight Talk support is full of a bunch of idiots and I can actually buy a Sim Card from them and use their service, right?

If you have LTE, that is probably why you have a SIM.
