Galaxy S4 Black Screen

[AC Question]

I have a Verizon Galaxy S4 and it black screened yesterday. I know the phone itself still works because it receives texts and calls and emails. I just can't see anything. I took the battery out and tried to restart about 15 times, no luck. Took it to one store to see if they had any ideas and of course the second the tech turned it on, it worked. It then turned off again about an hour later and since then, nothing. Went to another store after work and got laughed at by the tech, who was convinced I dropped it in water (which I did not--the stickers are still intact) and said 'look, go home and put it in rice--that'll fix whatever you did to it' and other than that, really wouldn't help. I was able to plug it into my computer and pulled all of the photos/videos/etc. so at this point, I mostly just need my phone back. Any ideas??

There could be a loose connection to the screen, if the failure is occasional.
