New SMS in Hangouts Sending from Google Voice Number

Hey guys, I've gotten all the latest updates and whatnot. Voice is integrated with Hangouts. Whenever I use the smart mode to reply to texts using the number texted, any new text messages that I send through Hangouts are sent from my Google Voice number, not my carrier number.

I was just wondering if this was a common issue and whether there is a current fix or not? A lot of the promotional shots of the Hangouts/Voice integration show being able to select which number you want to send texts from. I'm assuming that this feature hasn't been released yet.

I have this same issue and have removed the sms intergration so far until it is resolved and left the calling intergration

Had the exact same issue. So frustrating. Why can't I just select which number I'm sending from?

I love where Google is trying to go with Hangouts. But I Don't understand how some of this obvious stuff gets missed. Does no one there use the GV number and their SIM number?
