This started recently, and I've been hoping it would resolve itself, but to no avail: the YouTube video player is in gray scale for EVERY video, and parts are grainy. The video has parts cut out, like you'd see someone's top half and then their feet right below that. The video is split into three parts horizontally and everything is messed up. I'm really hoping this isn't an isolated case. Please help!

Welcome to Android Central! What device do you have? Is YouTube fully updated to the latest version?

Try going to Settings>Apps>All (or the App Manager if it's a Samsung device), select YouTube, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now open it and see if it works now.
