I've reset my tab a few months ago when the battery would not charge. It's been working fine till recently. I have charge like normally, got to 100% battery then used it on one game/app (Family Guy), and the battery alarmed and went down to under 5%. I reset the tab thinking it was just a fluke and it starts out as <5% batt then slowly climbs up to as far as 91% with out it being connected to the charger. As I go using it through the day it slowly drains and once it had shut off completely. I have it un-charged and it slowly climbs back up to a higher charge state than when I started. Like there is a ghost in it or something. Do I need to replace my battery? Had it since 2012.

Batteries can do funny things when they are failing, and I think there's a good chance that yours is.
