Root Now?

Hello, I am new I just recently made a post Called Pure Android. I have done quite a bit of research around the internet on XDA forums and I am really lost. I want to make sure I do this right the first and last time.I know enough to give to the relevant info to help with the answer:

S4 2014
Model # SCH- I545
Build Version I545VRUFNC5.

Two questions:

If I root my phone now to latest version of KitKat 4.4, will it be easier for my phone to download Android L when it is released? Or should I wait until a Android L root is developed?

If rooting to KitKat now will give me smooth access to L without Rooting, what is the most tried and true method of Rooting for my phone's Model and Build? My thanks to anyone who answers.

Rooting doesn't do anything to get L installed to your device any faster than without. You can install a custom ROM if one becomes available.

Follow the step by step guide for your device and you should be good. Be sure to understand the process Justin case you have problems and give yourself plenty of time to problem solve fix.
