HTC Desire 816 File Transfer

I recently bought HTC Desire 816 dual sim. Even though HTC Sync Manager is installed on my laptop, it doesn't detect the phone when it is connected. Also getting the "Device Driver not installed correctly" error. The phone is displayed as a portable device in "My Computer" with no content in it. So I'm unable to access or transfer anything between the mobile and pc. Would really appreciate it if anyone can suggest a solution...

Try installing uninstalling Sync Manager, restarting the computer, downloading Sync Manager again and installing it. "Device Driver not installed correctly" means that the computer won't be able to communicate with your phone. If you're running Windows 8.1, see Windows 8.1 - Install unsigned drivers. (And let HTC know that they have to keep up with the times.)
