Help neded to change language from Chinese to English in Baidu Android Smart TV Box - Baidu 3S

Hi

I have bought a Android smart TV box in china,
And all menus are in chinese ,
i cant use it as i do not know chinese,
Can any one assist me to get this thing work in english,

Welcome to Android Central! Try to get to the Settings menu, and hopefully there will be an icon next to each settings entry. Look for an icon that has a letter A, which should be Language & Input, and select that. On the next screen, tap the first entry, which should be the default language. Now look through that list, and hopefully you'll find English or whatever language you want.

hi thanks for tip
did so and changed to english
but now only the settings page is in english
rest all like TV App, player APP, and other programs all in chinese version and it didnt chnage the language for these Apps
so may be i guess i need to install english version ROM
or english version players and tv app
Also tried to install google play store via APK share
but result negative
google play store instaled successfully but can't load
the same for youtube also...
any idea how i can get these worked in my smart tv box...?

I suspect Google Play Store won't run because the device is not certified for it.

Not sure how you'll get the apps to show English. Flashing a custom ROM might help, but the challenge would be to find out how to root the device, and then find a ROM that is designed for it. You can't install just any ROM. I don't have rooting experience, so I'm afraid I can't help you further. Keep searching Google, and maybe you'll find something! Good luck.

Yes, all devices you bought from China are not support Google Play unless you root them.

Hi when i tried to figure it out i came across the info that baidu smart tv box sold in china are rooted..
how can i confirm that whether my device is rooted or not...?

Use whatever app store your device came with and search for "root checker."
