Google wants to shut down android domains?

So it was in this forum that someone had mentioned google wanted to shut down or take over websites or domains with android in them, when the person was joking telling me I might have to change my user name.

LOL who does google think they are?

I responded with, if anything people promoting the name android helps google and doesn't hurt them.

I always wanted an android domain since I buy domains and I found a pretty decent one.

AndroidLocal.com a 6 year old domain adopted by me.

I will let you know if I hear anything but I doubt I will.

Actually they did something like that with all domains with google in them.
Not sure how it turned out for the domain owners if they got any money or the money they actually paid over time.
We will see how it turns out, maybe this person just got confused as google is planning to sell domains.
