Hello,
I am currently upgrading my android phone and trying to switch the contacts over. I went to setting>account and sync>google>clicked on email>then click sync contacts but for some reason it wont actually sync my contacts onto gmail. Any ideas?
thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? What exactly are you trying to do? Are you trying to sync contacts on your phone to your Google account? If so, are the contacts in question actually associated with a Google account, or are they on the "Phone account"? If the latter, then they won't sync automatically to Google. You'll have to export the contacts from the Phone Account, then import them into Google. See this guide for more info: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ge...tting-started-android-2014-a.html#post3707512

Yes I am trying to sync contacts from my phone to my google account. I believe they are on the phone account. Its on my lg g2 but I cant figure out from the guide how to proceed?

On your old phone, go to the People/Contacts app, tap the Menu button, and look for an option for Import/Export. Select the option to Export all contacts to either a .csv file or a multiple .vcf file. Then go to the "Importing Contacts" section of the guide I linked above.
