How do I know if my Samsung Galaxy Centura is using an SD card?

samsung galaxy centura not using SD card

I have installed a micro SD card to my phone; formatted it and the pics , music etc are still storing on the internal drive.... I want my pics, music etc on an external drive in case my phone goes belly up... how do I ensure the SD card is being used?

Welcome to Android Central! If the various apps you're using (like the Camera) don't have an option to save to the external SD card by default, then you'll need to move the files yourself using a file manager. Devices don't always give you the option to make the external SD card the default storage area.
