I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 (Verizon), and when I close the USB door after I'm done using the port (charging, transferring data, etc.), I seem to be only about 80% successful. Every time I close it, I check and push on the length of the door, even pushing the door towards its hinge before pushing it onto the port, but about 20% of the time, I find later that it's not completely sealed.

Is there some trick that I'm missing? Is anyone else finding that closing and successfully sealing the door is a bit finicky?

It's good to know that the phone is waterproof to some degree, but, since I imagine that a good part of that depends on that USB door being sealed correctly, it seems likely that, if I ever have to count on that waterproofing, it'll be in that 20% failure to seal the door correctly, and that would be very sad.
