How do I unlock my HTC First via PC?

I cannot unlock it anymore because I broke my screen. I have opened my HTC First up, knowing the procedure of reconnecting the lose volume controls. At this point, I'm at the all time low, because I realize that I broke my battery's black adhesive tape. The phone itself still works, but the battery isn't properly connected to the lcd/screentouch. I connected the phone to my PC, thinking I can restore my files, but it was disappointing when I realize I had to unlock my phone first. I would also like to get my contacts list.
