Hello, and welcome to Android Central!

Is Caller ID enabled with your carrier? Most carriers include this feature for free, but some do not. Try phoning your Galaxy 5S using another telephone which you know does not block the caller's number. If the number is still not showing up, it may be that your carrier requires you to subscribe to Caller ID for a fee.

If you only see the incoming caller's number, but not the name, the number you have entered in your contact list may not exactly match the caller's actual number (for example, missing area code or country code).

If that's the case, try creating a new contact with an exact phone number (including country and area codes) in your contact list, and have that person phone you. If it still shows up as unknown, you may not have Caller ID.

[Note: I am a newbie to this forum, and am only answering this question because I thought I could help and I was the first person to respond. More experienced people will be along to help you pretty soon!]
