AC Question

Phone tries to shut off but doesn't

So my Samsung galaxy 4 goes into shut down mode where the screen of the phone company like T-Mobile or AT&T blinks a few times then shut off. Well my phone started to shut off by itself but it never really shuts off completely. It stays on the logo and it starts to heat up. Please help!!

Re: Phone tries to shut off but doesn't

As far as I know, no recovery from this. Factory Reset using the alternate method you will lose ALL data on internal memory;

If your phone is completely locked up and you can’t even access the menus there is a second way of resetting the Galaxy s4.

1. Press and hold the power button to turn the device of. If your device won’t turn of remove the battery for a second and put it back. ( Do not turn your phone back on )
2. With your device off press and hold the volume up and the home button, then without releasing the two other buttons press and hold the power button as well. Hold these three buttons until you can read recovery mode in the upper left corner of the screen. As soon as you can see it release the button combination.
3. To navigate the recovery mode screen use the volume up and down to go up and down. Use the power button to select an option.

If this does not work, take your device to your carrier for warranty or insurance determination.
