On my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 I just downloaded new update but now wont reboot, can anyone help?

Samsung galaxy tab 2 just downloaded new update but now wont reboot

I have just downloaded an update which seemed to go through fine. Said was re booting to finish loading but just hung there for 1/2 hr. Tried to reboot myself but all I get is the screen saying samsung and cannot get any further.

Have you tried removing and replacing the battery?
