Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 not properly connecting to PC

[AC Question]

So I recently received a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 from a friend, and I don't have any information about its past.. The problem I'm having is that when I try to connect it to my PC, it appears to be disconnecting and reconnecting, with no sign of it actually charging. It's difficult to explain, so I just recorded a video, but I can't post links just yet, sooo I'll see how I can sneak one in here.. > ~<

Then you'll need to have at least 10 meaningful posts before you can post a link, I think (meaningful as in contributing to the conversation, or welcoming new members).

In the meantime, see if you can try a different USB cable, to see if the cable is the problem. Also, when you connect, swipe down the Notification Shade and tap the USB notification--make sure it's connecting as MTP.
