I got hacked and lost all my personal data. What was the most likely source?

AC Question

I'm just wondering if anyone knows how easy it is to gain remote access to someone's phone. I'm questioning my own sanity here, as the people in the room with me swear it wasn't either of them. I want to believe that, but the reason I may not is because the screen mirror function was being used. I'm not sure how far the effective range of that is. So is it a case of someone seeing my password or managing to grab it in 15 seconds then turning on password visibility whole in mirror mode? Or is it fairly easy to gain access via say fb or another site? My fb was open in a city 2 hours away when I finally got the use of my phone back 6 hours later, but I don't know if that was just after the fact. Any insight would be appreciated, as it's really unnerving to have all your pics disappear, your contact list and old texts stolen, and see emails going out to people with pics that aren't exactly pg. Oh and all incoming and outgoing calls were blocked. Not cool.
