Why can't I use my micro sd on my Samsung Galaxy Ace Style?

why cant i use my micro sd on my samsung galaxy ace style?

just bought a new samsung galaxy ace style and my previous micro sd isnt being used to save images nor has it let me see previous images i had saved.
i have already format the sd following instructions from the phone. i have installed it again and just cant seem to make it work. can you help? thank you

Welcome to Android Central! Not all devices allow the user to save photos directly to external SD--is that an option in the Camera settings? If you don't see that option at all, then it isn't available.

It may also be related to the KitKat restrictions on apps being able to access the SD card. With KitKat, apps need express permission for SD access, so if the apps you're using don't have that permission, then you won't be able to see those files.
