Voice Recorder's "Trim" Function - How do I use it effectively?

A

AC Question

I record lectures on a regular basis and when I play them back, I have noticed a round button with a scissors label on it. I believe that this program calls it the Trim function. I would assume that I would want to use this to trim off any "dead space" at the beginning or the end, or to break up the recorded file into smaller segments. The problem is there seems not to be any Help available on my S2. I also have had no luck locating the S2/Android user documentation on the web. Can somebody help me out?

It you trim (the scissors) and move the end points, you can cut off from the beginning to a new start point, or from a new end point to the end (or both in one shot). If you use Ringtone Maker on the saved files, you can ship out pieces in th middle too. (Or copy the file to a PC and use Audacity to edit the file about as easily as editing a text file.)
