Why is the power button very delicate on my Nexus 5?

power button is very delicate on nexus 5

hello, yesterday night my nexus 5 suddenly began having a problem, it is as the power button is constantly being pressed and then it started rebooting over and over. now it's on but it feels like the power button became extremely delicate for when there is the tinniest touch on it, it starts the screen and every once in a while it's just restarts as if i was pressing on it for a long time. plus when i shake the phone a bit there is a clear rattle where the power button is. could it be that the power button got looser and became very delicate for touch?

p.s. i've tried erasing some apps i've downloaded a few days ago(which wasn't a problem until now) and it didn't do the trick.
