Can you be a bit more specific or describe the problem a bit more?

Check the manual outgoing mail settings against the SMTP settings of your email provider. You can usually find that online by searching your email provider and the words email settings. For Gmail, it's
    address: smtp.gmail.com
    Security: SSL
    Port: 465
your account email address - you@gmail.com
    the account password

One character wrong, or the wrong port or type of authentication, would cause that.

This is an old problem that I find recurring with Gmail. Sending a photo should not be so difficult. I tried clearing the cache, restarting the phone, but Sending a photo via gmail for Android remains a very unpredictable and frustrating experience that requires workarounds.

I have had this problem on a Motorola, two Samsungs and a Nexus 5. It is unique to the gmail app.

Which is one reason to replace it almost as soon as you get a new phone.
