Why does Google keep coming up when I swipe my apps away?

Why does Google keep coming up

I just got a Samsung galaxy s4, I noticed when I swipe my apps away the app didn't go away right away and Google came up, has that ever happened to anyone?

Welcome to Android Central! The gesture to bring up Google Now is typically to swipe up from the lower bezel--you may have started your swipe from too low on the phone.
