How do you do a factory reset on a Samsung S5 when the screen does not come on

the screen is blank but the phone is on and works.
impossible to unlock and do a factory reset when you can't see what you are pressing???

any external resets avaialable that can be done via PC.
would think not wihtout being able to unlock the phone with pass code??

Welcome to Android Central! You could try powering off completely (by either pulling the battery or pressing and holding Power for about 15 seconds to force a power off), then see if you can boot into Recovery Mode: Reset: Samsung Galaxy S 5 | T-Mobile Support

You will:
1)Have to get a new screen.l
2) Navigate in recovery mode blindly to factory reset.
