Welcome to Android Central! Assuming you didn't install any other phone tracking apps, the only way to try to track it is to go to google.com/android/devicemanager. This requires the lost phone to be on and connected to the web. If the phone has been powered down or factory reset, you won't be able to track it.

If it was truly stolen, you should notify your wireless provider, and they should be able to blacklist the IMEI so that no one else can use the phone for calls. But this means that if you recovered the phone afterwards, you wouldn't be able to use it either, because I'm not sure if IMEIs can be removed from the blacklist.
