Why is my phone constantly shutting down, at least 6 times a day?

My phone constantly shuts down at least 6 times a day.

My phone shuts itself down at least 6 times a day, and I have to take the battery out and put back in to enable the restart.
The screen freezes constantly & can shut down during a phone call.

Try a Cache Partition wipe, and even a Factory Reset if your personal data is backed up.
If you have an SD card in the device, it may be bad.
Also consider the possibility that the battery is failing. Take a look at it if you can....if it's bulging, remove it from the phone; but it may still be failing even if normal in appearance.
