Why am I getting a fail to initialize camera error?

[AC Question]

camera error (cannot connect to camera)

my set name lg e435 optimus
fail to initalize camera
Please tell me there is something I don't know about that can correct this error

Welcome to Android Central! It could be a camera failure or a software problem. I assume you've tried rebooting, right? You could try booting into Safe Mode, which disables all 3rd party apps (in case something you installed is causing instability). On most phones, press and hold the Power button until the Power menu comes up. Then press and hold the Power Off option until the Safe Mode prompt appears, and tap OK.

If that doesn't work, you could consider a factory reset. But at this point, it would most likely be a hardware failure.
