Welcome to Android Central! What are you trying to do--transfer contacts to another phone using the SIM? Have you considered associating your contacts with your Google account instead? This makes it much easier to sync contacts with new phones, since everything is in the Google cloud. It also keeps this information safe if anything happens to your phone.

If you still want to get the contacts to the SIM, open your People/Contacts app, tap Menu, and see if there is an option to Export to SIM. If there isn't, then you probably can't do it. If you can, then keep in mind that you might not be able to export all contacts to the SIM, depending on how many you have. SIM cards usually don't have much storage space--they may max out at around 500 contacts or so.
