Problem when I try to transfer pic from my LG G3 to my Macbook Pro.

When I plug in the phone via USB, I switch the mode to PTP. Then, iPhoto opens up and it recognizes the phone. However, not all of the photos show up. The same thing happens when I open up the Image Capture app. Not all of the photos taken on my LG G3 show up. I've been using the Android Transfer app instead. All of the photos show up when I use that app, but I would like to know why this problem happens when I use Image Capture or iPhoto when syncing photos from my LG G3 to my Macbook Pro.

At a guess, you have pictures not in the /DCIM folder tree, and PTP uses that folder as its root. Since I use a wifi file transfer program (wifi doesn't wear out, the microUSB connector does), I transfer files from the folder they're in to the folder I want them to be in, without regard to what some program thinks it should show me.
