My Centura is frozen. What do I do?

My Samsung Galaxy Centura has the screen illuminated that shows the
time and date and that says "Swipe screen to unlock." It will not swipe nor
will it go to black---it's frozen right there.

If you can, pull the battery for about 10 minutes and see if that helps.
