Welcome to Android Central! Since you already did a factory reset, the main thing I can suggest is to boot into Safe Mode, to temporarily disable all 3rd party apps. If the problem goes away, then you know something you installed is the culprit--but it can be difficult to know exactly which app is causing the problem. https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/2852139?hl=en

It may also be the fact that over time, corrosion from the previous water damage has developed, causing these various problems. It could be a circuit, or it could be the battery. In that case, you'd need to bring the phone into a repair shop, or you could try contacting Google and see if they will give you a replacement for free: http://forums.androidcentral.com/go...ogram-damaged-nexus-5-phones.html#post3996819

Read the first sentence of the second paragraph of B.Diddy's answer, "It may also be the fact that over time, corrosion from the previous water damage has developed, causing these various problems." Unless you removed ALL impurities from the phone when it got wet - which doesn't sound like what you did - that's the reason. The repairs will probably cost more than a new phone - the motherboard, screen and possibly some other parts will probably have to be replaced.
