Is there a way to automatically boot up Android when charger is connected?

I have a Motorola Droid X2. My phone goes dead a lot. When I plug it in to charge and it starts charging, it shows the battery screen. Is there any way to force the phone to go right to the Android home screen when it gets plugged in? Is there an app for this or a tweak? If its a root tweak or something someone who isn't a developer would have trouble doing, please give instructions. Thanks.

An app or tweak requires that the phone is running. Turned off computers can't run programs to turn themselves on. That's sort of like giving yourself CPR. If the phone can run the function or app, it's already on, so you don't need the app or function.

There might be some hardware way of doing it, but that would vary from phone to phone, and I'm not familiar with the Droid line.

(Unless it's so late that I'm overlooking something obvious.)
