My tablet isn't charging and keeps turning off, help?

My samsung galaxy tab 3 has been working fine, but all of a sudden it cut off by itself. The battery was low, so I put the charger in it, and I tried to turn it on and it comes on but it switches back off and the charging icon comes on. The charging percent is still low and the charger has been in it for like an hour and it's still not charged. I need a simple solution please.

Well, that looks like there is some problem with the charger or may be because of the battery. I would say better would be to first try changing the charger and the if that still doesn't help I think you may need to replace your device battery.

An hour? Try leaving it turned off and charging it for 24 hours. The first couple of hours, if the battery is down to almost nothing, don't put any charge into the battery, it sort of prepares th battery to accept a charge. (You shouldn't regularly discharge the battery down to less than about 40% - see Battery University - How to Prolong Lithium-based Batteries)
