This happened one time about two years ago when AT&T had a outage, but I looked and there is nothing for my area. I was receiving messages fine today up until about 2p.m. and since I have not received one message, I am able to send messages but nothing is being received at this time. I have already tried: restarting the phone, taking out the battery and checking the messaging app info.
I am using the general Messaging app that is used for text messages not the AT&T Messages. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! For issues like this, it's always best to start with your carrier--have you spoken with AT&T yet?
