Why is my D2 pad from Big Lots locked?

[AC Question]

D2 pad from Big Lots has locked.

We bought a D2-741G 7" pad from Big Lots for our daughter's birthday. Today is the 3rd day she has been using it and it has frozen. She can turn it on but it won't unlock. There is no password. Please help!

Welcome to Android Central! This is not surprising--budget/off-brand devices are much more likely to have defective hardware or firmware. I would bring it back to Big Lots and see if they will exchange it.
