Another way to do it would be to turn on the "Stay Awake" option in the Developer Options, which keeps the screen on as long as the phone is charging. So if you're in your car, the phone would have to be plugged into the cigarette lighter or DC power outlet. If you don't see Developer Options in your System Settings, then go to
Settings>About Phone, and tap Build Number 7 times.
