what cable supports samsung galaxy tab 3 7.0 T217-S for watching movies?

I know that the Tab 3 7.0 T217S is not MHL compatible - so what do I need to play movies from my Tab to my HDMI tv with no wifi in my house? I have a Samsung adapter - sold to me by Samsung - but it says MHL and won't work. Everyone tells me it's not MHL compatible but they never say what to use in its place?

I responded to your duplicate post as well, but at this point I can't find that other post. The Tab 3 7.0 does not support any kind of wired connection to an HDTV. Your best bet is to set up a home wi-fi network (a good router only costs about $20 these days), and get a Chromecast (as cheap as $25 refurbished, $30-35 new).
