HTC One M8 with no OS. Its not rooted or unlocked, is there anyway to get it working again?

My HTC m8 crashed this morning and when I went to boot it back up, it wen straight to the boot screen instead of actually booting up. None of the options work for reboot, recovery, or factory reset, and after looking around, I found out I'm missing the OS all together. There are lots of threads about getting the phone working again if its rooted and unlocked, but mine is not. Is there anyway to get the OS back, or do I need a whole new phone?
