Could water have damaged my front speaker?

front speaker low sound

So my friends brother spilt a cup of water on my new note 4 while it was in its case. We'd took it out immediately and dried the case the phone itself wasnt wet they said. I wasn't in the room. Now the front speaker barely gives any sound. I just bought this. It's there any way to fix this without fully replacing this phone? I can hear phone calls on speaker phone.

Welcome to the forums. I am thinking some water did get in the phone. This probably caused some physical damage to the hardware. If you have insurance, I would use it.
